Syracuse Community Mourns the Death of Long-Time Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Agent Jeff Atwood
SYRACUSE, Ind. — The Syracuse community is mourning the loss of Jeff Atwood, a long-time resident, respected insurance professional and dedicated community supporter whose passing has left family, friends and neighbours heartbroken.
Jeff served as an agent with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in Syracuse for more than 34 years, earning the trust of generations of families throughout Kosciusko County. Throughout his distinguished career, he helped clients protect what mattered most by providing insurance coverage for their homes, vehicles, farms and families. His commitment to serving others extended far beyond his profession, making him one of the community’s most familiar and respected faces.
Born on 17 February, Jeff was remembered as a devoted father, loving brother and loyal friend whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Those who knew him describe him as someone who always took the time to listen, offer guidance and lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
Outside the office, Jeff had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and believed strongly in investing in the next generation. He was passionate about youth development and spent many years volunteering his time and sponsoring local youth sports programmes. Whether cheering from the sidelines, mentoring young athletes or supporting community events, Jeff’s presence was felt throughout Syracuse.
